Better late than never

When I first moved into my current department kan, saya adalah sangat blur! It was a 360 degree punya kind of turn around. Previously, I do mechanical stuffs.

Dan sudah menjadi adat lah kan, di tempat baru, haruslah rajin bertanya. But the thing is, saya sendiri pun tidak tau apa yang mau di tanya -_-“.

So I decided to diam seja. Diam tu means, sedikit demi sedikit serap. Saya memang bukan jenis yang aggresive. Memang dari dulu sentimental seja. Slow learner.

So when I first came here, I have my own note book. I just jot down whatever inputs that I got. Eventually, I managed to see the connections among the notes that I wrote.

And just recently, I asked one of the offshore friend to teach/explain to me something. So he was being very nice, explained to me sampailaaahhh saya faham. Last-last, that guy tanya.

‘You’ve been there for how many years suda, tapi, kenapa baru sekarang mau tanya/belajar pasal ini?’

Uish.. Tebal terus muka saya. Mula-mula, makan hati jugak sebab I find his words offensive. Tapi, sebab saya ni terer suda interpret sesuatu yang tidak manis kepada sesuatu yang lebih enak di dengar :p, so I told him, “Better late, than never”.

Tapikan, no doubt lah. Di department saya ni, ada yang suka mengajar bila di tanya, dan ada yang suka jawab “by now you should already know that…” dan “itu pun tidak tau kah?”. Semangat yang tinggi menggunung, sekelip maa hancur berkecai.

That is the challenge that I have to deal, working among people with 20-30 years of exeperience. Setakat experience saya buka pump, pasang pump tu apalah sangat kan?

I will remember that forever and I will never ever ever ever do that because I know how hurt it was to be treated like that.

Btw, there will be a new guy coming in to our department tomorrow 🙂

PS : One of the reason saya suka slow-slow belajar sebab I have to get my facts right. Bukan asal tau seja.
