During our engagement session last week, le fasilitator asked us, what actually motivates us to go to work every day?
And me, being me, always the last one and sometimes not among those who bukak mulut. Bukannya pemalu. I dont think I can put what my concerns are to public. Tapi that day, I was being very polite lah konoooonnnn….
Some of them asnwered their family. Ada yang jawab because he wanted to improve bla bla bla for the bla bla bla so that the bla bla bla bla bla bla. Macam-macam jawapan. When the fasi mentujukan the question to me, dengan jujur saya jawab ‘I have to work. I need to earn money’. Ok. Semua orang diam. Sudah lah saya saturang seja perempuan in our group :p.
Tapi, betulkan? For me, that what motivates me the most. Without money, I cant afford to buy foods, gas, to pay the house/car/PTPTN (sengaja huruf besar) or even to send my daughter to school! Apa lagi membeli baju cantek2 kilat2 menawan kalbu?
So it is money. And what motivates me to earn money, is my family
Ayat serupa orang yang mata duitan dan berjiwa materialistik. Jawapan saya memang sangat tidak professional…tapi JUJUR
Ala…semua orang pun mata duitan & berjiwa materialistik. Duit bonus banyak kena potong oleh EPF, bising. Duit claim lambat masuk, bising. Allowance kena potong, cilak* sana, cilak* sini. Jadi yes people, we are all in the same boat.
But who rows the boat?
PS : Ok lah, to be fair. What actually might motivates me are the nice working environment, good people who I work with and a bucket of KFC Hot & Spicy on top of the dining table at the office :p
PS : I’ll be more jujur, ikhlas, tulus, murni now. Kalau orang tanya, ‘hey binikedek, y u no smile?” saya akan jawab ‘because my boss gave me *.* ipf’. Boleh?
